We're a local, independent team supplying, fitting and looking after stairlifts right across Merseyside. Our job is simple: to help you or someone you love keep the freedom of their whole home - with honest advice, fair prices and no pressure.

Mersey Stairlifts is a small, independent business built around one idea: that getting a stairlift should be straightforward, honest and free of pressure. Residing in Aintree and Wallasey we both believe is helping merseyside get what they need, as quick as possible, especially when it means you get to keep your independance in your own home.
We cover the whole of Merseyside - Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley and St Helens - coming to you wherever you are across the five boroughs. Mersey Stairlifts is a trading name of MAK Commercial Solutions Ltd, registered in England & Wales.
Why we started
Why we set up Mersey Stairlifts
Our journey began with a member of our own family.
After a sudden decline in his health, something as simple as getting a stairlift fitted quickly became an overwhelming and frustrating experience. What should have been a straightforward process was instead filled with long waiting times, hidden costs, and constant upselling. All at a time when he and our family needed reassurance, not added stress.
His wish was incredibly simple: to continue sleeping in his own bed, watching his favourite old films on the television he'd enjoyed for years. Remaining in the home he loved meant everything to him.
That experience made us realise there had to be a better way.
We founded our business on the belief that arranging a stairlift should be transparent, honest, and centred around the person who needs it, not sales targets or unnecessary extras. Every customer deserves clear advice, fair pricing, and support from people who genuinely care.
With a background in customer service, I understand what exceptional service looks like. That's why we're committed to guiding every customer through the process from start to finish, explaining each step clearly, answering every question, and making the entire experience as simple, stress-free, and reassuring as possible.
Because for us, it's never just about installing a stairlift, it's about helping people remain independent, comfortable, and in the place they call home.

Local, and genuinely so
One of us lives on the Wirral and the other in Aintree, so this isn't a national call centre with a local-sounding name - it's people from here, working here. No place in Merseyside is too far away, and should our close neighbours need our excellent service too we can look after them. Whether it be a straight forward staircase, a staircase with a turn, or specific requirements to make your life more comfortable we will be just a phonecall away and arrange to come and visit you.
Being local means when you call, you speak to the people who'll actually visit your home - and who'll still be here afterwards for support.

A proper home assessment and a clear written quote - no signing on the day, no pressure. If you don't need a stairlift yet, we'll say so.
Fair, transparent pricing
No misleading "from" prices. Your quote reflects your actual stairs, and we help you claim every grant and VAT relief you're entitled to.
Here afterwards
The people who fit your stairlift are the same people who service it and answer the phone later. Aftercare is part of the deal.
