At Mersey Stairlifts, helping people stay safe and independent in their own homes is the heart of what we do — so making our website usable for everyone matters to us. This page explains what we've done to keep the site accessible, and, most importantly, how to reach us if you're finding anything difficult.

What we've tried to do

We're a small, independent business, and we've built this website with our customers in mind — many of whom are older or living with reduced mobility or sight. We've aimed to make the site straightforward and comfortable to use by, for example: using clear, readable text and good colour contrast; keeping layouts simple and easy to follow; making sure the site works on phones, tablets and computers; and writing in plain, jargon-free language wherever we can.

Adjusting your device to help

Your computer, phone or tablet may also have built-in settings that make websites easier to use — such as increasing the text size, zooming in, or having pages read aloud to you. Most web browsers let you make the text bigger by holding down the "Ctrl" key (or "Cmd" on a Mac) and pressing the "+" key. Your device's own accessibility settings offer further options, and we're glad to talk you through the basics over the phone if that would help.

Being honest about where we are

We want to be straightforward with you: we're a new business, and we haven't yet had our website formally tested against the official accessibility standards. We've done our best to make it accessible, but we know there may be things we can still improve. We're committed to getting better over time.
